M6 Stage 1 Motorway (Arncliffe)
The M6 Stage 1 will deliver the missing link from Sydney’s south to the wider Sydney motorway network making journeys easier, faster, and safer. It will remove more than 2,000 trucks a day from surface roads and help return local streets to local communities.
The scope of works include twin four kilometre tunnels linking the new M5 Motorway at Arncliffe to President Avenue at Kogarah, the construction of tunnel stubs for a future south connection, a new intersection at President Avenue, new shared cycle and pedestrian pathways and minor adjustments to local roads.

Peters Interchange Entry and Exit Point Tunnel
M8 Motorway, M4 & M8 Link Tunnel
The M4-M8 Link Tunnels consists of twin 7.5-kilometre four-lane tunnels linking the New M4 tunnels at Haberfield to the New M5 motorway at St Peters. This link will create a western bypass of the CBD which will allow the full benefits of WestConnex to be realised.
By easing congestion, connecting communities and delivering more than 10,000 jobs directly and indirectly, the new motorway will provide crucial support for Sydney’s long-term economic and population growth.

Rozelle Interchange, Iron Cove Link
The interchange includes a toll-free bypass of Victoria Road between the Iron Cove Bridge and the Anzac Bridge known as the Iron Cove Link.
The interchange is located at the site of the former Rozelle Rail Yards. It is one of largest and most complex underground junctions in the world.

Penrith High Street Upgrade
Sydney Light Rail is a new, sustainable and safe transport alternative that serves the needs of Sydney’s growing population. This tram network, which was one of the core initiatives of the city’s long-term transport plan, is a vital element in helping to alleviate traffic congestion, as well as connecting sport, leisure and health centres to the Central Business District and Circular Quay.
